Intelligence built for dentistry
Every AI feature runs on Google Gemini through Vertex AI, and every one of them produces a draft a person reviews.
AI Clinical Notes
Dictate or type rough notes — AI converts them into structured clinical documentation with FDI notation, diagnosis, and treatment performed.
X-Ray Analysis
Upload dental radiographs and get AI-assisted identification of caries, periapical pathology, bone levels, and existing restorations.
Smart Treatment Plans
Describe clinical findings and receive AI-suggested treatment sequences, alternatives, complexity estimates, and preventive recommendations.
Voice Dictation
Dictate hands-free straight into the clinical record: chief complaint, history, treatment and plan notes — in your language.
Clinical Q&A Assistant
Ask clinical questions — drug interactions, procedure protocols, coding — and get fast answers to weigh with your own judgment.
Patient Summaries
Generate concise patient summaries from treatment records, appointments, and financial data — ideal for referrals and handoffs.
Patient reports sensitivity on tooth 36. The radiograph shows a mesial radiolucency.
From the clinical presentation and the radiographic findings for tooth 36:
- 1. Likely mesial caries extending toward the pulp
- 2. Recommend a vitality test to assess the pulp
- 3. Treatment options: direct restoration or root canal treatment
Google Gemini through Vertex AI, called from DentalX's own Google Cloud project, where your data is kept. No patient data is sent to any other AI provider.
AI output is labelled as AI and is a draft to check. A radiograph reading or a document summary is saved with its file, labelled as AI, for a clinician to review; any other draft enters a record only when a person adds it. Image analysis follows the rules of the clinic's country automatically, and is off in the United States.
Security you can prove to your patients
Dental records are among the most sensitive data in healthcare. DentalX is built with defense-in-depth — data encrypted in transit and at rest, access to patient records logged, every clinic fully isolated.
Built on Google Cloud
Patient data lives in Google Cloud in the United States, under Google's HIPAA business-associate agreement, with daily backups and point-in-time recovery.
AES-256-GCM Encryption
The patient record's name, date of birth, phone, address, emergency contact, medical history and insurance details are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored. The key is held in Google Cloud Secret Manager and read only by the server functions that decrypt — never sent to a browser. Appointments, notes, images and other records rely on Google Cloud's encryption at rest.
Cross-Clinic Data Isolation
Every Firestore query, Storage bucket, and Cloud Function enforces clinic-level isolation. Clinic A cannot read, write, or even discover Clinic B's data.
Multi-Factor Authentication
Multi-factor authentication is available to every clinic and can be required for owners and managers. It is mandatory for VstreamX platform staff.
Audit Trail
Opening a patient's chart, changes to patient and treatment records, exports and deletions are logged with server timestamps no clinic user can alter: who did what, and when.
Daily backups
Firestore backups run every day with point-in-time recovery, and a clinic can export its records at any moment.
Hardened Firestore Rules
Field-level validation on every create, cross-clinic write prevention, role-based access control, and a deny-all fallback rule.
Secure Headers & CSP
Content Security Policy, HSTS with preload, X-Frame-Options SAMEORIGIN, and a Permissions-Policy that allows the camera and microphone only to DentalX's own pages (dictation, the ID scanner) and blocks geolocation.
Your data stays yours
Export the clinic's records, or a single patient's, whenever you want — including after you cancel.

FAQ
Asked before signing
How long does setup take?
A clinic can be working the same day: create the account, add your team and chairs, load your procedure prices, and start booking. There is nothing to install.
Can I try it with my real patients?
Outside the United States, yes. A US practice may load patient information only after we both sign a Business Associate Agreement; until then, use fictitious data.
What languages does it speak?
The app is Spanish, English and French. The language your patients receive messages in is a clinic setting, separate from the language each staff member sees.
Is my patients' data encrypted?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest on Google Cloud, and the patient record's name, date of birth, phone, address, emergency contact, medical history and insurance details are also encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored. Each clinic is isolated by default-deny rules, access to patient records and changes to them are written to an audit log, and multi-factor authentication can be required for owners and managers.
Are you HIPAA compliant?
HIPAA compliance is something a clinic and its vendors hold together. DentalX runs on Google Cloud under Google's HIPAA business associate agreement, encrypts each patient's name, birth date, phone, address and medical history, isolates every clinic and logs access to patient records. We sign a Business Associate Agreement with a US practice before it adds patient information. Ask us for it and for our security overview.
Which AI models do you use?
Google Gemini through Vertex AI, called from DentalX's own Google Cloud project, where your data is kept; Google may serve a request from a data center outside the United States. Nothing goes to another AI provider. Every AI output is labelled as AI and is a draft for a person to check.
Can I move my data from another system?
You can export everything from DentalX at any time. Coming in from another system is handled case by case today: tell us what you are leaving and we will tell you honestly what can be carried over.
What happens when the trial ends?
Nothing is deleted. You pick a package, or the account continues free of charge on the plan its Plan & Billing page shows, with your data intact and export always available.
